30 Sundays raised ₹61 crore in a Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners to accelerate AI innovation and international expansion.

30 Sundays Secures Series A Funding to Accelerate AI Travel Innovation

AI-native traveltech startup 30 Sundays has secured ₹61 crore ($6.7 million) in Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners, signaling strong investor confidence in AI-driven travel solutions. The round included participation from existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius Ventures, bringing the company’s total funding to approximately $7.5 million since its June 2024 inception.1

The startup plans to leverage fresh capital to strengthen its AI and engineering capabilities, expand its team, and accelerate international expansion. 30 Sundays uses video-first, conversational AI to help users discover, plan, and book holidays while replacing opaque agent-led booking processes with transparent experiences. The platform has achieved an impressive annualised gross booking value (GBV) run-rate of ₹200 crore across Bali, Vietnam, Maldives, and Thailand destinations.2

International Expansion Strengthens 30 Sundays’ Position in India’s AI Travel Market

The company’s international expansion roadmap includes Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines, targeting markets where India’s outbound leisure travel demand is accelerating.3 India’s outbound tourism market is estimated at $25 billion annually and growing at 11.4% year-over-year, driven by increasing disposable incomes, improved middle-class purchasing power, relaxed visa regulations, and expanded low-cost international connectivity.

30 Sundays competes with platforms like TravelTriangle, Pickyourtrail, ixigo, and Tripoto. Its competitive advantage lies in building an AI-native platform from ground-up rather than layering AI features onto traditional OTA workflows. Founder Kshitij Chaudhary and team have demonstrated product-market fit within two years, achieving profitability while scaling GBV rapidly.4

The Series A investment validates the broader thesis that AI-powered personalization, combined with founder-led customer support and seamless booking workflows, can disrupt India’s fragmented travel planning market.5 As outbound travel rebounds post-pandemic, 30 Sundays is positioned to capture significant market share in travel technology.
