Tiea Connectors secures Rs 77 crore in Series A funding to accelerate its next phase of growth.
Bengaluru-based Tiea Connectors has raised Rs 77 crore in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures. The round also saw participation from Jamwant Ventures, 8X Ventures, and a group of high-net-worth angel investors.
Tiea Connectors operates in the niche segment of high-performance electrical and electronic interconnect systems, which are critical in sectors such as aircraft, EV battery systems, industrial machinery, and defence equipment.
The funding marks a significant shift in India’s electronics and advanced manufacturing ecosystem, with venture capital firms increasingly backing hardware and precision manufacturing startups. Tiea Connectors was founded in either 2019 or 2020 and was incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
The company plans to use the fresh capital for expansion and growth. This development comes at a time when India is attempting to deepen domestic capabilities in electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM).
The emergence of startups like Tiea Connectors suggests that the ecosystem is gradually moving towards core component manufacturing, reducing dependence on imported electronic components.
