Gurugram-based legal technology startup Lawyered secured $2.5 million in pre-Series A funding co-led by Rainmatter and Turbostart, with participation from existing investor Finvolve.1 The capital accelerates the company’s expansion from mobility-focused legal assistance into adjacent sectors including finance, real estate and healthcare.
Founded in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, former product lead at LexisNexis India, Lawyered positions itself as legal infrastructure for India’s mobility ecosystem. The flagship product LOTS247 delivers real-time legal aid for road accidents, disputes and compliance conflicts. ChallanPay enables efficient traffic fine resolution, addressing recurring legal risks vehicle owners and fleet operators encounter constantly.2
The fresh capital will strengthen AI infrastructure, accelerate product development and expand user acquisition with focus on AI-led capabilities. Previously, the company raised Rs 8.5 crore on business reality show IdeaBaaz3 at Rs 120 crore pre-money valuation from investors including Pawan Jaggi and Sleep Company co-founder Priyanka Salot.
Rainmatter’s involvement signals cross-sector potential beyond fintech, with Turbostart adding strategic acceleration capabilities for scaling legal technology. The capital enables Lawyered to extend legal infrastructure beyond reactive services into proactive compliance utilities embedded across everyday transactions.4
